Using the Internet as a resource is absolutely necessary in today's information-based society. However, finding exactly the right material from a reputable among the millions of pages available is often quite difficult.

Over the last few years there have been a wide variety of audio and video materials that relate to topics discussed in educational psychology. As in other types of materials, the quality ranges from excellent to unacceptable.

I have created a webpage with topics that are discussed in educational psychology. There are a number of audio and video recommendations that meet the minimum standards for presenting correct information these formats. You will search for and recommend audiovideo materials that can be added to this list (i.e., make sure your recommendations are not duplicates of materials already on the list).

Each recommendation should include:

  • The topic addressed by the audio or video.
  • The name of the audio or video and any relevant bibliographic information.
  • The URL for the audio or video.
  • A short description of the lesson and why you recommend it.
  1. Type in the relevant information for each recommendation and save your recommendations to a file in Word 2003 format.

  2. On the PSYC 7010, discussion board, select "Audiovideo recommendations."

  3. Select "Create a Message" and type in your name in the subject line.

  4. Attach the word document to your message.

  5. Select the "Preview" button at the bottom of the window to see that your message contains the attachment.

  6. If it is, post your message.

  7. If it is not, simply send your recommendations to me via e-mail attachment.
